Words of condolences for a beloved uncle

Dear Steven,

Remember when you were learning to drive both your father and your uncle were in competition to see which of them could teach you driving skills better.  In the end where did you learn to drive but in driver’s school.  Uncles are sometimes like fathers in our lives, don’t you think? You were lucky to live near your uncle, for most of us we get to see our uncles at weddings and funerals.  It is memories of your uncle that you should cherish in your heart for all time.

It is always sad when we lose any member of our family whether we are close to that person or not because it is one less person left on earth that makes our family special. I heard that he died suddenly without too much pain and I guess that is what we would want for any of our loved ones, to leave this earth with some dignity. What do you say we get together real soon and just enjoy life I am sure that is what your uncle would want us to do.

Sincerely,

David
