Death Notice

A death notice is a listing announcing the death of someone. They will appear as paid Newspaper ads in the Classifieds or in Obituaries. Some families send a personal note to friends and relatives with the information about the loved ones death.

Death notices are much shorter than obituaries and usually give very minimal information. A death notice usually contains the person's name, city of birth, time and place of death and some include the cause of death. In addition, the time, date and location of the funeral are included as well.
